HOW IT WORKS
Thai massage works by combining acupressure, assisted yoga-like stretches, and energy work to release tension and improve flexibility, circulation, and overall well-being. The therapist uses their hands, feet, elbows, and knees to apply pressure along energy lines in the body while guiding the recipient through a series of passive stretches and movements, often while lying on a floor mat. Unlike Western massages, it is a full-body experience that is often done while the client is fully clothed in loose-fitting garments.
During a lymphatic massage:
- Gentle, rhythmic strokes are applied in the direction of lymph flow.
- Blocked or sluggish lymph pathways are stimulated to promote detoxification.
- Fluid retention is reduced, encouraging tissue regen eration and improved oxygen delivery.
